The Ar Turas Sapling Search is your start point for researching your family tree. Statutory registration of births, marriages and deaths started in Scotland on 1st January 1855, replacing the records kept by the Church of Scotland. From that date registration of these life events was compulsory but also free.
If you can supply the details from a life event in Scotland between 1855 and the present day we will thoroughly search these records for all lines and provide you with the transcripts of each certificate found.
It is usual to take all lines back to 1855 with information from some certificates pointing the way to births and marriages back several more decades.
The Ar Turas Sapling Search is priced at £175. You are asked to pay a £75 deposit with the remainder payable only when you receive the finished work. Please email email@example.com initially to discuss your project. We'll then email you an invoice for the deposit and give you information on ways to pay.
If you require actual certificates or copies of Parish Registers/Census Records/Wills & Testaments please let us know at the time of ordering and we will advise the extra cost.
Generally we send your completed search document by email and this cost is included in the above prices. If you require the document on a CD, printed or on a memory stick please ask for the additional costs.
